Anyone familiar with Sherilyns work will feel an immediate connection to the spontaneity, limited palette and mark making in her new body of work. Photographs are used as a reference but nothing is too descriptive. The coastal areas of N.Cornwall are her subject as well as coastal areas closer to home. Sherilyn says she does not want to paint the original realities of what she has photographed or sketched but to create an expression or an abstraction and prefers the viewer to find their own place in a piece of work.
